Into this World

I have my entrance…

At The Canberra Hospital

I have made my entrance…

Good News Everyone!

After the ultrasound and internal examinations, the doctor confirmed that my mom can induce her labour at 38 weeks. The doctor even said that I may even come earlier. The doctor said that she will not be surprised if my mom goes into labour earlier than the expected date at 38 weeks.

This is great news for me. I will be in my mom’s arm soon – in 2 weeks or even less time.

I can’t wait for this moment!

Sulphur Crested Cockatoo (1)

My dad sighted several white Sulphur Crested Cockatoo several days ago. He thought that readers might enjoy seeing them…

Yes, originally that was a big picture….

Here is another..

And here is the description of the cockatoo, courtesy of the Australian Museum Online:

The Sulphur-crested Cockatoo is a large white parrot, measuring 45cm – 50cm. It has a dark grey-black bill, a distinctive sulphur-yellow crest and a yellow wash on the underside of the wings. Sexes are similar, although the female can be separated at close range by its red-brown eye (darker brown in the male). This is a noisy and conspicuous cockatoo, both at rest and in flight. The most common call is a distinctive loud screech, ending with a slight upward inflection. Young Sulphur-crested Cockatoos resemble the adults.

There are more pictures of the Sulphur Crested Cockatoo… that will be posted later!

What is wrong with this song – “Warisan” (1)

My father said that when he was younger, he was sent to a BTN (Biro Tata Negara) course. In that course, he was taught this song:

Anak kecil main api,
Terbakar hatinya yang sepi,
Air mata darah bercampur keringat,
Bumi dipijak milik orang.

Nenek moyang kaya raya,
Tergadai seluruh harta benda,
Akibat sengketa sesamalah kita,
Cinta lenyap di arus zaman.

Indahnya bumi kita ini,
Warisan berkurun lamanya,
Hasil mengalir ke tangan yang lain,
Peribumi merintih sendiri.

Kini cuma tinggal kuasa,
Yang akan menentukan bangsa,
Bersatulah hati, bersama berbakti,
Pulih kembali harga diri.

Indahnya bumi kita ini,
Warisan berkurun lamanya,
Hasil mengalir ke tangan yang lain,
Peribumi merintih sendiri.

Kita sudah tiada masa,
Bangunlah dengan gagah perkasa,
Janganlah terlalai teruskan usaha,
Melayu kan gagah di nusantara

He said that he and the course participants was made to rehearse this song over and over again, until he could memorise it by heart.

Some people say that there is no harm in this song. After all a song that was meant to motivate people is good. But then look again…

Or rather “listen” again….

Don’t just listen to the lyrics… but listen to its meaning…

More on this in the future…

Two New Categories…

As has been said, this blog is still in the develomental stage. Now there is a new development in this blog: There will be two new categories. The first is called Malaysian Constitution. In this category, all postings relating to Malaysian Constitution will be grouped. The second category is called Democracy and Governance. In this category all articles relating to democrocay and governance will be grouped.

Perhaps one may wonder why those categories. After all I am just an infant who at this moment has not been born yet.

The answer is that: matters relating to these two categories will greatly affect me. My father is a firm believer that every body should understand the Constitution so that each of us understand our rights and responsibilities as Malaysian citizens. My father also says that everybody should be interested in democracy and governance as these two matters are closely related. My father also says that Malaysia as it was formulated a long time ago was meant to be a full fledge democracy and this ideal is still evident in the present day Constitution. Unfortunately according to him, Malaysia since Independence has been mired by racial (and religious) politics so much so that the ideals of democracy was “drowned” out.

And there it goes two new categories – Malaysian Constitution and Democracy and Governance.

Of course, this blog is still a personal blog…

Please Pray for Me and my Mom

Next Tuesday is a very important day. My mom’s pregnancy will be 36 weeks old.

On that day the obstetrician will decide whether she can deliver me by inducement on the 38th week.

Its not that she does not want me to be in her belly anymore, but rather because of the previous complication with my brother.

One day I will write about him.

My mom is so nervous about this situation. I hope that things will turn out fine. But until that day – Tuesday 6th of May, my mom will be nervous and anxious.

If you read this post, please pray for me. Please pray for my mom too. Please pray for the safety for both of us.
